Tenex Casino has shut down – Best alternatives to try instead

Tenex Casino is gone.

The brand has officially disbanded. No long roadmap, no comeback teaser, no slow drip of bad news. Just lights out.

It’s a quiet end for one of 2025’s more promising crypto casino launches, and one that – like a few before it – deserved a proper send-off.

Tenex was never a household name on the level of Stake or BC.Game, but it punched above its weight while it was around.

It packed over 11,400 games, supported 10 cryptocurrencies, and ran on a fresh Anjouan license at a time when most operators were scrambling for compliance.

The live casino was genuinely elite – north of 1,000 tables from Evolution, Pragmatic Live, Ezugi, and BetGames.tv.

The welcome bonus was modest (100% up to $500), but the wagering was reasonable, and the platform was clean, fast, and clearly built for crypto-first players.

It wasn’t perfect

Mandatory KYC, capped monthly withdrawals, and a still-earning-its-trust license held it back. But it deserved better than disappearing overnight.

Why did Tenex Casino shut down?

There’s no detailed public post-mortem – just word from the team that “Tenex the company has disbanded.”

That kind of clean break usually points to one of a few familiar culprits in this industry:

  • Mounting regulatory and compliance costs
  • Brutal competition from heavyweights like Stake, BC.Game, and Shuffle
  • Thin margins on player acquisition vs. retention
  • Internal restructuring or funding shifts

Tenex did plenty right. The game library was massive, the live casino was top-tier, and the UX was one of the cleaner ones we tested last year.

But “doing things right” isn’t always enough in crypto gambling. The market is unforgiving, and even solid mid-tier brands can get squeezed out by bigger budgets and louder marketing.

Final words

Tenex Casino isn’t coming back – at least not in the form we knew it.

If you had a balance there, hopefully you’ve already pulled it. If not, the door has closed.

For everyone moving on, stick with operators that have proven longevity, transparent ownership, and active development. The crypto casino industry punishes hesitation, and Tenex’s exit is just the latest reminder that flashy launches don’t guarantee staying power.

Top 5 crypto casino sites like Luckybird.io to consider in 2026

Luckybird.io is a very nice sweepstakes casino powered by SoftSwiss. It was launched in 2022, and it has already built a solid reputation over the years. On top of that, it also has provably fair games, which my team and I like a lot. Yet, I can’t say it’s perfect. Luckybird.io cons ❌ Monthly withdrawal limit […]

AceBet KYC: Is verification really required?

Most crypto casinos sell themselves as “anonymous” until you try to cash out. AceBet takes a different route, and it shows. I signed up, deposited, played, and withdrew without uploading a single document. To make sure it wasn’t a fluke, I also reached out to support and got a clear answer straight from an agent. […]

One of the big reasons crypto casinos like Rollify are growing so fast is the promise of anonymous gambling. Players want quick signups, instant deposits, and withdrawals without handing over sensitive documents. And for the most part, Rollify delivers – it’s a no-KYC casino by default.
