Crash Gambling Strategies: Do They Really Work?

The fact that crash games are based on luck makes them perfect testing grounds for different betting strategies and testing them is what I did.

From the Martingale system to Fibonacci and Kelly Criterion, I’ve tried them all to see if they actually work or if they’re just smokescreens to keep you betting.

Stay tuned to find out.

Crash Gambling Strategies: At a Glance

Here’s a quick summary of the strategies I tried at the best Crash gambling sites, ranked from best to worst.

In the next few sections, I’ll cover each Crash strategy in detail, highlighting its advantages, success rates, and more.

The Martingale Strategy

The Martingale strategy is a classic betting system that has been employed across various gambling games for centuries.

Its core premise is simple: you double your bet after every loss.

The idea is that when you eventually win, you will recover all your previous losses and gain a profit equal to your initial bet.

In theory, the Martingale system works best with games or wagers that pay even money, which makes it a good fit for Crash casino games, especially if you don’t cash out until the multiplier reaches 2x. Knowing that the usual range where the game round crashes is between 1.01x and 3x, there’s a chance it may work.

Let’s illustrate that with an example:

In Need for X by Onlyplay, a racing Crash game, there are Bonus Boxes that you collect to get the prize multipliers. Some of these boxes contain a bomb instead of a prize multiplier, causing you to crash.

need for x by onlyplay
You can find this ultra-modern Crash game at Wild.io or BetFury.

Here’s how the strategy would work:

  • Say you start with a €1 bet, and you crash.
  • You now need to bet €2.
  • If you crash again, your next wager should be €4.
  • With this bet, you decide to cash out with a multiplier of 2x, which means you’ll win €8, enough to cover the previous losses and earn a bit of profit in the process.

While this checks out in theory, the strategy comes with significant risks, especially in games like Need for X.

For example, continuous losses can quickly escalate your bet sizes. If you start with €1 and lose five times consecutively, your next bet must be €32.

Moreover, the game’s maximum bet is €50. This means after a few losses, you might hit the cap and be unable to continue doubling your bets.

Ultimately, doubling bets after losses can create immense pressure and even anxiety, likely leading to irrational decisions.

Reading the Board Strategy – Inspired by Steve Will Do It

Steve’s a crazy guy, but as we said in our full review of Steve’s crash gambling strategies, there might be some method to his madness.

What Steve likes to do is, he watches the results of the game (Crash by Roobet is his favorite), and then when he sees that the 2X multiplier hasn’t been reached for quite some time, he places a huge bet, and hopefully, he catches that 2X payout and grabs the profit!

We know it sounds irresponsible at first; however, when we did it with much smaller bets, we were still able to turn a nice profit! Some of our team members reported the same experience.

Martingale Strategy Variations

The Martingale strategy is a classic, we’re sure even your uncle’s heard of it. But Martingale should not always be just this classic strategy, you can apply your own twists to it in crash games.

According to a Reddit user’s analysis, a 4X multiplier is likely to occur at least once every 25 rounds. His variation suggests increasing bets by 50% on each loss, allowing the bet to cover previous losses when hitting the 4X multiplier. Combining it with low initial bets seems to be effective.

Applying new spins to old concepts like the Martingale can significantly increase your odds of winning.

The Anti-Martingale Strategy

The Anti-Martingale strategy, also known as the Reverse Martingale, takes the opposite approach of the traditional Martingale strategy.

Instead of doubling your bet after a loss, you double your bet after a win.

The idea is to capitalize on winning streaks while minimizing losses during losing streaks, and if you’ve played crash games, you know losing streaks are a reality you must deal with.

I tested the Anti-Martingale strategy on Cappadocia by Smartsoft Gaming. The game features a hot-air balloon theme, where the objective is to cash out before the balloon bursts.

cappadocia by smartsoft
You’ll find Cappadocia at Winz.io or Wild.io.

Here’s how the strategy works:

  • Say you start with a minimum bet of €0.10.
  • You launch your balloon.
  • If you manage to cash out before the balloon bursts, double your next bet.
  • If the balloon bursts before you cash out, reset your bet to the initial €0.10 and repeat the process.

The idea is that doubling bets only after wins limits potential losses compared to the traditional Martingale strategy.

Theoretically, this strategy would help you take advantage of hot streaks, potentially leading to significant profits during extended winning runs.

Since you are in control of the cashing out, you can have hot streaks, provided you are quick on the draw and cash out even the smallest multipliers.

On the flip side, winning streaks are not guaranteed, and losing even one bet after a significant win can wipe out previous gains, especially if you have placed multiple bets simultaneously.

In addition, keeping track of them and cashing out at the right time will be challenging, most likely causing you to lose at least some of the bets and mess up the strategy.

Bankroll Management

The best Crash gambling strategy is undoubtedly bankroll management. Fortunately, the concept is also pretty simple:

The strategy entails controlling your balance and bet sizes so that you don’t burn through your bankroll.

With the fast-paced nature of Crah games, things can get out of hand quickly, causing you to waste your entire bankroll in a matter of minutes.

With proper bankroll management, you can maintain a healthy balance and extend your gameplay. This is perfect for new players who are just learning how to play Crash games.

Now, there are several approaches to this strategy with regard to Crash games.

Kelly Criterion is one of them. This bankroll management strategy is based on a mathematical formula that calculates the bet size you need to use based on your bankroll and the probability of a winning bet.

The formula is as follows:

f = (bp – q) / b

Here’s what the letters stand for:

  • f ∗= the fraction of your current bankroll to wager
  • 𝑏 =the decimal odds of the bet (Let’s say you decide to cash out when the multiplier reaches 2x, meaning if you bet €1, you get €2 in return. For net odds, meaning the payout minus the stake; mean b = 1)
  • 𝑝 = the probability of winning the bet
  • 𝑞 = the probability of losing the bet (1 – p)

Suppose, based on your analysis of past games or historical data, you estimate the probability that the balloon will reach 2x before bursting is 60% (p = 0.60). The probability of losing is simply 1−𝑝 so that 𝑞=0.40. Therefore, when you apply the formula, your next bet should be 20% of your current bankroll.

In addition to this strategy, there are many others, such as a flat betting bankroll system, where you bet the same amount regardless of the outcome. In general, these systems have been designed to ensure you don’t jeopardize your entire bankroll.

Low, 1.01X Cashout Strategy

The idea behind this strategy is that a player collects small wins that have incredibly high winning chances. Based on the high odds of winning, you can (allegedly) stack up enough small wins to make a fortune. Sounds good, right?

Cashing out a 1,01X, 1,05X, or 1,10X at most is super safe, but it’s not as rewarding or fun as some of the strategies we listed before.

We’ve tested this strategy over the course of 3000 rounds of crash. Check out our 1.01X cashout strategy report to see how we did!

Strategies Based on Statistics

If you check out our Crash by BC Originals game review, you’ll see that this game allows you to analyze the past 2000 rounds of their crash game.

BC.Game’s history analysis is a goldmine of data, and the majority of crash gamblers are not even aware of it!

Let’s say you want to cash out at 3X in every round, the history tool in BC’s original crash game will tell you that in the past 2000 rounds, the longest streak without a 3X multiplier occurring was 13, and the longest consecutive streak of the 3X multiplier occurring was 6.

You can then use this data to formulate your strategy and calculate your odds. Keep in mind that the data from the last 2000 rounds can also be misleading and that the losing streaks might be longer than that!

Nonetheless, basing your gambling strategy on some amount of data is still much better than going into the game blindly.

D’Alembert System

The D’Alembert system is a betting strategy similar to the Martingale but with a more conservative approach. The strategy is based on the idea of balancing wins and losses by adjusting the bet size.

Instead of doubling the bet after each loss, the player increases the bet by one unit after a loss and decreases it by one unit after a win.

I tried this strategy on Aero by Turbo Games: a classic airplane-themed Crash variant you’ll find at several top-rated crypto casinos.

Play it at a Casino
Play it at a Casino

If you want to try it with the Aero by Turbo Game, here’s how:

  • Start with a bet of $1.
  • Launch the airplane.
  • If the plane crashes before you can cash out, increase your bet by $1.
  • If you manage to cash out before it crashes, decrease your next bet by $1.

Compared to other strategies, the D’Alambert seems more viable because it’s simple, less risky, and allows for more effective loss control.

However, since the bet size adjustments are smaller, the potential for large gains is also limited. Extended losing streaks can also lead to significant cumulative losses, especially if the initial bet size is too high.

 Fibonacci System

The Fibonacci betting system is based on the famous Fibonacci sequence, a series of numbers where each number is the sum of the two preceding ones.

The premise is to increase the bet size following losses and return to the base unit after a win. The goal is to recover losses gradually and minimize risk.

The issue with this strategy is that prolonged losing streaks can result in pretty large bets that can quickly deplete your bankroll.

Also, bet limits can restrict the application of the Fibonacci sequence, preventing you from following the strategy as intended. Although the system aims to recover losses gradually, there is no guarantee of success, especially in games with random outcomes like Crash.

Why Most “Winning” Crash Gambling Strategies Don’t Work

In crash gambling games, each round operates on the principles of unpredictability and independence. The gambler’s fallacy is a belief that plagues many bettors, which has them believe that the outcome of the previous round will have anything to do with the outcome of the next.

The crash point in each round is determined randomly, making it impossible to predict when it will occur. No matter how many rounds you have played or observed, there is no way to forecast the next crash point accurately.

Therefore, basing a strategy on the outcomes of previous rounds is illogical. Any perceived patterns or trends are purely coincidental.

Even with methods such as the Martingale, you can’t succeed without an infinite bankroll to double the size of your losing bet.

The only strategy that actually works is bankroll management.

Keeping your wagering in check and prudently using your funds is how you get the best betting experience.

Elements of Best Crash Strategies

Earth, fire, water, wind – we all know how important these 4 basic matter elements are to our lives, and funny enough when it comes to crash gambling strategies, we have 4 elements as well!

They might not be as important, but they sure are important when you’re trying to improve your crash gambling profitability.

This is what we look for in every crash gambling strategy we copy or design ourselves:

  • It promotes responsible gambling practices!
If a strategy you heard about entails that you bet half of your bankroll on a single bet or anything similar, just run, it’s not worth your time. Good strategies do not require big wagers to work.
  • It accounts for losing streaks.
No strategy out there can work at all times. The biggest problem with most crash gambling strategies is the fact they do not account for long-losing streaks that might wipe away everything you worked for in the past.
  • It does not guarantee positive results.
Crash gambling is a luck-based casino game, there are no guarantees, ever. Every gambling expert out there knows this, us included.
  • It does not take the fun away from crash gambling!
Fun comes first, if you’re bored out of your mind by trying out a strategy that isn’t delivering promising results, it’s simply not worth your time. Remember, fun comes first!

The internet is full of crash gambling strategies, and through our experience, we identified the four elements listed above as being the key to recognizing if a strategy is worth your time.

The third element we listed might sound strange since just about any crash gambling strategy out there guarantees good results. Well, we call that an immediate red flag.

👉🏼 When playing luck-based gambling games like crash, no strategy out there can guarantee you good results.

You have to realize that there is no perfect crash gambling strategy out there, it’s up to you to secure the profits if you have them and quit before things go south. Sorry for being such negative Nancies, but that’s the honest truth!

How to Test Crash Strategies Safely?

It was just a second ago that we used the phrase “don’t go all in” and this is the exact approach you need to take when testing out crash gambling strategies.

Here are our 7 top tips on how to test crash strategies without risking an arm and a leg:

  • Start off with small bets
If the strategy works, the bet amounts do not matter, even $0,01 will do!
  • Use “fake” currencies whenever possible
Casinos like BC.Game offers JB coins, an internal currency specifically designed for testing our games. Make use of such coins when testing strategies to ensure you’re not losing a dime.
  • Make sure you choose a long enough testing period
If you want reliable data, 100 rounds of testing just won’t cut it. We recommend at least 1000 rounds and more. Take your time and enjoy the process!
  • Keep in mind that if it worked once, there’s no guarantee it’ll work in the future
Think about how you’re going to fare if the strategy goes south. Sure, a strategy can produce viable results during your testing period, however, since crash gambling is completely randomized, there’s no guarantee this will last.
  • Share the strategy, and let others use it to gain more insight faster
Keeping your strategies to yourself makes no sense. Share it with friends or your favorite online community and let others test it as well. This is a great way to gather a lot of data really fast!
  • Keep a detailed track of your progress
Games like Crash by Stake Originals offer a live statistics tool that allows you to monitor the success of your crash strategy testing with both a live chart and the calculation of wins and losses.
  • Stick to the strategy
Last but not least, make sure that when you are testing a strategy, you stick to it 100%.

If you follow these simple tips, we can assure you that testing crash gambling strategies won’t be as stressful and expensive as it could be. Once you find a winner, you can place bigger bets or the same small bets but with real money.

Final Thoughts

Most crash gambling strategies just don’t hold up because every game round is completely random and independent from the previous one.

Relying on past results to predict future outcomes is a recipe for disappointment. Plus, strategies that involve doubling your bets, such as Martingale, demand an endless bankroll and could be impractical due to casino limits.

Instead of chasing elusive ‘winning’ strategies, stick to realistic methods like bankroll management to keep your betting fun and sustainable.
