How to Play Crash Games | 5 Minute Guide
Crash has become the darling of the online casino world. It’s fast-paced, highly rewarding, and easy to play. So easy, in fact, that I’ll tell you everything you need to know about how to play Crash in just five minutes.
Stick around to discover:
- How to play Crash
- All the different Crash game features
- The difference between auto mode and classic mode
Let’s start with the basics:
How to Play Crash: The Basics
Here’s how to get started with your first round of Crash at any given Crash crypto casino:
- Set your bet size: Decide how much you want to wager. You can manually type in how much you want to bet, or use the plus, minus, or multiplier buttons to adjust your bet size.
- Choose your mode (auto or manual): You can play in two different modes in Crash, but we’ll get into that in a bit. For now, you should know that auto mode allows you to set predefined cash-out points and bet sizes, while classic requires manual input.
- Start the game: Hit the ‘bet’ or ‘start’ button to get the game going. All you need to do is sit back and watch the multiplier (hopefully) grow.
- Cash out at the right time: Easier said than done, but ideally, you’ll want to cash out when you’ve made a profit but before the rocket/plane crashes. If you wait too long, you’ll risk your entire bet. But if you’re too hasty, you could miss out on a huge multiplier (such is the dilemma with Crash).

That’s all there is to it on the most basic level! Of course, there’s a lot more to know about the game, but the information above should get you started on the right foot.
If you want to learn more about each game feature and the difference between auto and manual modes, stick around!
The Different Elements of Crash Games
Every Crash game is made up of several different game elements. If you’re completely new to the game, it may be worth your while to familiarize yourself with them:
Game Animation Window
The game window is where all the action takes place, and how it looks differs from game to game! This is where you’ll watch your multiplier grow (or rocket fly).
In most Crash games, you’ll also be able to see at which point other players cash out. In the example above, you can see a player cashing out at as the multiplier reaches 10.24x.
Some games, like BetFury’s Crash, also display the RTP in the game window. If you don’t already know, Crash games, in general, have some of the highest RTPs compared to other casino games—yet another reason why we at Casinos Blockchain love Crash!
Betting Interface
This is where you’ll set and adjust your bets. You can manually enter your desired amount or use other adjustment features that vary from game to game.
Most Crash games will also have a basic ‘auto stop’ feature, which you can use to automatically cash out when the multiplier hits a certain point.
The betting interface becomes more complicated when you use ‘auto mode,’ but more on that later!
Leaderboard
Some Crash games feature leaderboards where you can see how other players are faring with their bets. It’s a nice piece of transparency I like to see, and also a good indication of how popular a Crash game is.
Leaderboards also offer a sense of community that many online casino games inherently lack.
More advanced Crash games even offer an in-game chat, where you can celebrate your wins and complain about your losses with fellow players.
Provably Fair Features
Not all Crash games are provably fair, but those that are allow you to verify the fairness of each game round using cryptographic algorithms.
If you’re playing a provably fair Crash game, look for a ‘fairness’ button or a special icon. Alternatively, you can try to click on the multiplier/result from the previous round.
Manual Mode vs Auto Mode in Crash
Many top Crash games offer two modes of play: manual and auto. I’ll cut right to the chase and explain how the two modes differ:
Manual Mode
This is your standard betting mode in Crash. You choose your bet size and manually hit that cash out button yourself, when you feel the time is right.
As someone who likes to be present in all the action, this is my mode of choice. It offers a level of thrill and excitement that auto mode does not, in my opinion.
However, many manual mode interfaces still have a simple ‘auto stop/cash out’ feature available, too. Fairspin’s very simple in-house Crash game is a good example:
Auto Mode
Auto mode, on the other hand, features much more advanced betting options. Just look at Stake’s ‘Autobet’ feature for Crash:
The world is quite literally your oyster here. Not all Crash games will have such advanced features, but at the very least, auto mode should allow you to:
- Cash out at a certain multiplier
- Cash out at a certain profit
Some more advanced auto modes will also allow you to:
- Increase your bet amount if you win
- Decrease your bet amount if you lose
BC.Game’s in-house Crash has one of my favorite automated betting modes. It allows you to run your own script or choose popular Crash gambling strategies like the Martingale.
What’s this about a script?
The ‘script’ just refers to a pre-written code or set of instructions that automates the betting process!
Automated betting features like BC.Game’s scripts are great for players who want to test out certain strategies or maximize their profits. It’s also pretty nice to not have to hit ‘bet’ or ‘play’ every single round.
Of course, some players (myself included) would argue that using automated features takes some thrill out of the game—but to each his own!
Final Thoughts
There you have it—your guide on how to play Crash games. See how easy it really is?
The really neat thing is that some Crash games out there have their own tutorial or ‘how to play’ guide embedded in the game, which you can use if you’re ever confused.
Most importantly, be sure to only bet what you can afford to lose and use the automated betting features responsibly.
