How to REALLY test crash gambling strategies: Full guide
If you know Crash Gambler, then you know that one of our most commonly discussed topics is crash gambling strategies.
I usually invest quite a lot of time when I’m doing strategy reviews, but there’s an easier way as well.
Today, I’ll reveal all the tools and techniques that I use to backtest strategies and test strategies in real time on a live crash game. Let’s start with the latter.

Testing crash strategies on a live crash game
I get hit by the online version of side-eye every time I mention that players can simply test crash strategies in demo versions of their favorite crash games.
Despite the fact that demo games run on the same algorithm as the live games, players feel like the results are not realistic.

If you want to test crash gambling strategies, you’ll probably want to automate the process for at least 300+ rounds.
Testing crash gambling strategies in manual mode will take you hours upon hours. I don’t recommend it.
To test a strategy in BC’s original crash game, head to the “Advanced” section and use one of the pre-programmed betting scripts.

With the pre-programmed crash scripts, you can already automate the:
- Martingale strategy
- Anti-Martingale strategy
- Weird Reddit strategies
- Various low or high-cashout strategies
Once you set up your betting script, simply run the script and engage the live statistics option (positioned below the game’s interface) to track your progress and keep a count of the rounds you’ve played.
To get reliable results, I recommend:
- Running the script/strategy for at least 500 rounds.
- Repeat the 500-round interval over the course of a day or multiple days.
- Place small bets. Bet amounts do not matter when testing strategies.
- Do not interfere with the strategy if you want reliable results.
- Share the strategy with your friends. Invite them to test it out as well.
If you follow these recommendations, you are bound to get realistic results about the success of your strategy.
This process might seem time-consuming, but doing this is still better than losing all your real money in a matter of hours.
Benefits of Testing Strategies at BC.Game Casino
At this point, I’m afraid it may seem as though I’m pushing BC.Game’s Crash a bit too hard. But let me tell you, this game is not our favorite for no reason.

Backtesting crash strategies – Correctly
Talking about testing strategies like a pro, it’s time I reveal my secret trick. If you’ve read our crash gambling history article, then you know what Bustabit is.
Now, while I don’t like or recommend playing crash games on unlicensed sites, I do use one feature from BustaBit to help me test out my wild strategy ideas.
It’s one of my favorites.
The feature I’m talking about is the backtesting tool.
Here is what the interface of BustBit’s backtesting tool looks like.
So, let’s say you want to test out a martingale strategy with the following rules:
- Cashout at 3X
- Base bet amount $1 or 1 bits at BustBit
- Total bankroll $1000 or 1000 bits
- Stop the betting process if the bet amount surpasses $500 or 500 bits
- On loss, double the bet amount
- On win, reset the bet amount
To backtest this strategy, simply edit the “Martingale” script that is already available at BustBit, as you can see in the image above.
Once you have the script ready, scroll back up and decide on the number of games you want to simulate and simply generate a random game hash at which you want the game to start the simulation.
I will simulate 1000 games and choose to do so at a random game hash. I suggest you do as well.
Imagine game hashes as starting points at which you start to simulate your strategy.
The important thing to realize is that while your strategy may be successful for 1000 rounds or even 10000 rounds at one random game hash, the results may be completely different once you switch the starting game hash.
That is why I always say that just because your strategy works well for 100 or even 1000 rounds one day, the same might not happen the next day.
Now, let’s run my sample martingale strategy to see how I do.
Run 1: -508 bits
Between each run, it’s important that you generate a new random game hash.
Run 2: +437 bits
Randomize the game hash once again and repeat the process 5-10 times. If you don’t change the game hash, you’ll just get the same results on each run.
Run 3: -107 bits
Run 4: -318 bits
Run 5: -138 bits
Run 6: +387 bits
Run 7: +231 bits
Run 8: -2 bits
Run 9: -402 bits
Run 10: +860 bits
Final balance: +440 bits!
There you have it. My backtesting experiment, which lasted 10,000 rounds of Bustabit, ended with a profit. But does that mean that this strategy is the one? Is this my holy grail?
Far from it. While I could be lucky within the scope of these 10,000 rounds of this game, there are no guarantees that the same will happen in the next period. We should talk about managing expectations at this point.
Managing expectations
Crash gambling is a game of chance, or pure luck if I may be bold. This means that achieving a positive expected value from your strategy is essentially impossible.
I’ll explain.
A positive what? Expected value?
Expected value is a concept that allows gamblers to understand the average outcome of a strategy over a large number of rounds. It is a statistical measure to determine the profitability or loss of a specific gambling strategy.

What I want you to know when it comes to crash gambling is this: no crash gambling strategy has a positive expected value.
This means that no strategy out there can guarantee you profitable results all the time.
I know this is a hard pill to swallow, but that’s just how things are with every game of chance out there. Due to the house edge that is imposed on all crash games, over a long period of time, the casino or the “house” always wins.
How to increase your chances of winning?
So, what can you do to stay profitable when playing crash games? Well, the first thing I would suggest is that you forget about the “profit/loss” mindset. Have fun!
Playing crash is supposed to be fun, it’s not supposed to replace your main source of income! What I like to do is gamble responsibly by sticking to one of the bankroll management strategies.
With this approach, I am able to:
- Still have fun, and lots of it
- Catch more big wins than ever before
